They will work on cross-functional projects in the organization, not just projects within one unit or department, through advanced training and experience. In order to use state of the art statistical analyses methods and techniques, Black Belt training exceeds that at Green Belt. The company is well-positioned because of its demonstrated management expertise and ability to resist pressure and execute projects on-time without compromises on quality standards. Final Thoughts

For more technical senior positions such as project managers, quality managers, business management, and new product engineers and managers, a black belt certification is necessary. A six sigma certification would possibly suffice for junior positions in technical industries.
